Quality and Lean Manufacturing Manager

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Promote and maintain safe work environments for all employees    Supervise, support and develop quality systems, quality engineering and Quality Technician Staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing personnel complaints and resolving problems Set goals for individuals and entire Quality Department that support the broader goals and needs of the plant and supporting divisions. Develop, build and support a high performing quality assurance team. Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) Maintain interaction with division quality organization ensuring plant's compliance to division and corporate QMS requirements Manage internal and external product and process audits Monitor, facilitate and report on Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA's) while providing visibility and appropriate priority to these activities. Manage appropriate supplier interactions (internal and external) and supplier management process Establish and execute strategic plan for plant quality system (include driving plant, division, and corporate initiatives) Drive Continuous Improvement throughout the organization Responsible for directing lean initiatives and operational improvements throughout the facility. Works to continuously ingrain and improve the Cynthiana Lean Management System; including daily tier processes, problem solving activities, Total Productive Maintenance, Value Stream Improvement and 5-Year Flow plans.  Actively participates in relevant corporate lean programs/initiatives and ensures alignment to CBG strategic goals. Lead lean activity through the Cynthiana organization by coaching principles and tool usage. Implement lean elements throughout the Cynthiana site. Drive operational excellence through the effective use of lean tools and projects. Support and lead Value Stream Improvement teams. Help develop site Lean Leads withLeanPrinciples (e.g. 5S, Problem Solving, etc.) Coach, participate in and lead Kaizen events for the site. Maintain various Lean metrics tracking databases. Create and deliver Lean training. Participate on or lead LeanSix Sigma projects that span multiple areas which may include, material flow, lead time improvement, and inventory optimization. Member of Cynthiana Leadership Team Basic Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Minimum five (5) years of combined experience with one or more of the following: Manufacturing/Production Operations, Manufacturing/Production Engineering, Process Engineering, Product Engineering, Product Development, Quality, and/or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in a private, public, government or military environment Minimum two (2) years of experience managing and/or supervising direct reports Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience including leadership experience Minimum three (3) years of experience managing or supervising direct reports Minimum of two (2) years of quality and/or product engineering experience Experience deploying industry specific quality system requirements for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 Working knowledge of 3M IT solutions for Quality (CFR, eMatrix, ISM, SAP, etc.). applies to internal applicants only Experience leading internal and external audit or certified internal auditor ISO9001 American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification or willingness to obtain Excellent attention to detail and process/system oriented Self-motivated with proven ability to apply innovative solutions to problems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective in conducting root cause analysis Extensive experience with Lean methodologies and application. Certified LeanSix SigmaBlack Belt 3M Lean Certification applies to internal applicants only Relevant experience in the areas of quality and project management Strong leadership skills, integration and networking capability Experience successfully leading global teams through change management Ability to work within team structure to influence and support quality improvement Experience working directly with customers and participating in customer audits Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation) Microsoft Office proficient Location: Cynthiana, KY Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international Relocation: Is authorized   R00960540

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
